Long ago, in a land high atop the Appalachians, there stood a castle
known as Preston High.
Within this castle there were several highly skilled Knights,
always looking for a battle,
always looking to display their expertise.

On the 25th day of the second month of the year two thousand and eight,
Lord Paul Martin conveyed to Lady Tina Silcott that they should have Lord Martins’ most loyal brother at arms and advisor,
Paul Sines, gather their Knights, inform them of their timeliness and prepare them for battle!

With days to which it seemed the sun would never set,
the Knights set forth to gain all the knowledge and skill they could muster and at last after much sweat,
blood and tears the day had arrived when they could test their courage and their skill.
And see if they had what it would take to follow in the steps of Sir Eric Ryan or Lady Kaylyn Christopher.

On the 20th day of the third month, the Knights rallied together and,
with chariots of support in tow they thundered to the far south western providence known as Parkersburg.
The air had a chill, the wind was swift and the moon was full but the battle went well with a 2nd and 5th place secure.

The Knights had gotten a taste of the battle and were ready to now muster
what was needed to bring forth the wrath of Lord Martin through out the Land.

It was the 25th day of the third month and Lord Martin decided to travel to the foreign land
to the north known as Uniontown, again the wind cut like a knife,
piercing into the armor and all though the male gendered Knights found quite a few distractions in the land,
the battle went well and the confidence was growing.

Word began to spread of the Knights travels and on the 28th day of the third month,
forces came to the Knights home castle to try to stifle their advances.
The air was as if it was of ice and the wind cut through to the soul,
it would be a fight of nature and foe. The Knights again proved their worth with a 1st, 2nd and combined 1st place.

The Knights could ill afford to rest for on the 8th day of the 4th month again,
the Knights castle would be tested. With the chill still in the air and the blustering wind still aloft,
they defended their homeland again with 2, second places, a 7th and an 8th.

Once again on the 12th day of the 4th month, the Knights would venture south in search of new land to conquer,
they came across a providence known as Grafton populated with Bearcats.
Their dwelling was remarkable and it was rumored that
Lord Martin had once reined in this land but for this day the Knights were there for a battle, not a communion.

Upon returning home the Knights were informed that again, their castle walls would be tested,
on the 15th day of the 4th month, forces again flowed into Preston to try and stifle the Knights and their passion for dominance.
The Knights reined supreme with two 1st places and two 6th places. The castle had withstood another onslaught.

Word traveled to Preston that to the west was a large providence that housed a population of scholars known to be a University.
Rumor has said that the populous of this region bleeds of Blue and Gold
and that they set fire upon couches at the sight of a victorious Football game.
Lord Martin had received an invite from a local scholastic organization known as
University High along with the University,
to bring his Knights forth and test their skills in battle on the 19th day of the 4th month.
And again the Knights would prove to be victorious.

It seemed as though the Knights castle would never be able to rest, as once again upon their return home,
they would again have to face an invasion upon their home.
This one would take place on the 22nd day of the forth month.
This would be a day that Lord Martin would have to recognize
that some of his senior Knights would be soon moving on to higher more demanding posts,
and they would do so with two 1st place victories.

It was the 25th day of the 4th month.
With many Great Knights wanting a chance to prove they were ready for a bigger battle,
Lord Martin lead the Knights far south to the Kanawha valley area
where the golden dome of the capitol city dominated over the sky line.
This was thought to be the place to battle once you thought you were good enough to truly rule the entire land.
It would be a hard fought battle with the Lady Knights securing a 4th place and the Men Knights securing an 8th place.

On the 1st day of the 5th month the Knights would invite all of their conference rivals
to the castle for a day of battle to determine the best in the conference.
At last the air had warmed and the wind had calmed within the castle yard.
Several Knights would make the All Conference team and over all the Men Knights would rule supreme at 1st place.
The Lady Knights would also display there potential in battle with a 2nd place.

Having competed so well in the conference,
Lord Martin decided on the 7th day of the 5th month to travel north and participate
in the great regional battle taking place in the providence of Wheeling.
Again this would be a great task for the Knights for depending on what place you finished in this battle
would determine the placement of your armor, either on your back or on the shelf.
Many Knights prevailed to maintain their armor and many
Knights after a hard fought battle would be turning in their armor.
Over all the Knights standings were 3rd and 6th.
Those turning in their armor will return to fight another battle,
and with the lessons learned from being in battle with Lord Martin will progress to the next level of the battle field.

There was but one battle left to fight for the season.

On the 16th day of the 5th month Lord Martin again headed toward the Golden Dome
to the far south. This would be the Battle of all battles, this would be the the battle
to crown the best of the best.
The singlets were pressed,
and the spikes glistening and sharp. The battle would a wet and dreary one on the first day
but the Knights would fight well. the second day brought forth warmth and sunlight and,
the Knights, given their numbers would would fight a good battle, from both, the Men and the Women.
Through out the battle there would be one Knight that would rein supreme in her class.
This would not be the end, for several Knights will move onto the next level of battle and
several will return again when Lord Martin puts out his calling for those who
dare to make the challenge to become a Preston High Knight!

Lord Martin strives on with anticipation as a new field of young Squires,
continue to train and strive to become one of the Elite Preston High Knights!

And all though not often captured as a portrait for the entire world to see,
the Knights of Preston would not withstand the lasting battles,
or endure the long journeys without the support and encouragement they receive.

And let us not forget the Artist that without even a combatant bearing his name,
travels the land without end, capturing the battles as they unfold,
freezing the moments in time upon a magical canvas for all the world to see.
